Guest 8: Naomi R.
Naomi is a photographer from Australia who is here in LA for both work and pleasure. She had a meeting this evening at the Annenburg Space for Photography, which makes me think she's got her shit together. She's the first of our guests to brave the LA bus system but seems to have managed well so far. Good on her! I showed her the genius that is the public transport button on Google Maps and I think her travels just got a lot easier.

Guest 7: Vanessa C.
Vanessa booked relatively last minute (the night before arrival) and included something in her message about having an appointment for head-shots. This is LA after all. She's tall, thin, and with long blonde hair but when we got to talking as she checked in she mentioned having a wellness business. So maybe she's not an aspiring actress? Either way, she seems nice and had found out about AirBnB via her business manager who's has another client who uses it.

Guest 6: Gary F.
Gary and his wife are in town from Las Vegas to drop off their 10 year old daughter at a one-week camp at UCLA. They took the opportunity for some family time at the beach and stayed in our studio for the night. They were super sweet and would be welcome back anytime.
Guest 5: Manoj P.
Manoj and his girlfriend are in town from DC so that Manoj can go on an interview this week and so that the two of them can get a feel for LA and decide if he would accept the job if offered to him. They were barely here overnight but seemed kind and professional. Ironically, Colleen the girlfriend works for Deloitte. Small world!

Guest 4: Emily C.
Emily and Sarah are two really cool girls that I would totally be friends with if they didn't live in Lancaster, PA. Sarah teaches collegiate level communications and Emily started her own business running local business' facebook presence. Seriously. They arrived early after having taken an overnight bus from San Francisco so rather than hanging out at the IHOP, I offered for them to chill in our backyard, use some WIFI, and have a glass of water while we waited for the previous guests to clear out. I did a quick turn of the space and linens and they were off on bikes to explore. Emily has The Price Is Right tickets for tomorrow morning and Sarah's plans are TBD but she has a 2nd degree connection in the area she might hang out with.

Guest 3: Aimee B.
A last minute booking brought Aimee and her 4 friends to our guest studio. Five girls from Toronto on a road trip arrived around midnight and are staying for two days. They have gotten some recommendations from others on where to shop (Fred Siegel was on the list) and eat (The Abbey in WeHo was mentioned), so other than asking to borrow a hair dryer this morning this crew has been relatively self-service.

Guest 2: Joudy N.
Joudy and her family (husband and two kids - ages 5 & 7) are traveling for a month in the States from Saudi Arabia. They were super clean and very friendly. Their daughters LOVED playing with Penny & Lily; so much so that Joudy reported to me on their departure that they now wanted to be called Penny & Lily instead of Kadi & Lema. Cute! One cultural thing that didn't translate to the West was that Joudy barely talked to or looked at Aaron and her husband barely talked to or looked at me. I think we navigated it well though.
Guest 1: Andrew M.
Andrew lives in San Diego but works in Beverly Hills so he stayed with us for two nights to save on his commute. He was a great tenant - clean, on time arrival, worked all day, left early in the morning, and very pleasant.
